The following changes in Outdoor Burning regulations in Maple Valley Fire & Life Safety jurisdiction will apply to the following area: (Winterwood) (West) from 18800 to (East) 21600 and ( South) Covington Sawyer Road to (North) Kent Kangley Road excluding the Eastwood Forest neighborhood. The intent of this change is to align outdoor burning requirements with the neighboring jurisdiction (KCFPD #37) See the Outdoor Burning rules section "Residential Outdoor Burning" below. This will be allowable twice a year in the months of May and October. The rest of the year will be closed to burning in your area. This years Residential Outdoor Burning will be allowable through the end of November due to the Summer Burn Ban. The rules regarding "smoke and flying ash nuisances" will be strictly enforced, meaning a complaint from a neighbor will require the individual burning to extinguish their fire. If you or any of your neighbors have any questions, please give me a call. Timothy W.
