ReferralComments: This is the same contractor recommended 
by the Congletons. The contractor number is different because
 the company has changed over from the father's name (John) to 
the son's name (Jason). The workmanship was good, the attention
 to details was excellent (ie. ridge vents, rake metal,etc)and 
the pricing was very competitive. I recommend them very highly
 after having experience in hiring contractors for an addition
 to the house.

ReferralComments: John, his son, Jason, and their team did a 
very professional job on our roof. They installed Presidential 
Autumn Blend on our roof with a RidgeVent system. John and his 
team are very detailed oriented and do extra things that other
 roofers may not do (i.e. new matching-color rake metal, 
completely reflashed sky lights & chimmey, and painted gas 
pipe to match roofing material color.) They also installed 
four new skylights--two fixed and two vented. The vented units
 are really well designed and "slick" to use.  

John is very easy to work with.  He works hard at making sure 
you understand what the project will entail. He is patient with 
you about making this big, and somewhat  costly, decision. His 
original bid was slightly higher than the lowest bid I got.  
Because I felt so  good about the way John does business, I a
sked him if he could meet the lowest bid. He was willing to 
meet the lowest quote and the job was started and finished as promised.  

I believe John is an honest and fair man.  Last year (2003) I 
knew that I would be needing  a new roof soon. I had John Rumsey, 
as well as others, check my roof. He agreed that new roof was needed, 
but he was the only one of the roofers contacted who said that he 
could make a few repairs and that I might get another year or two 
out of my roof with a few repairs.  In other words,  he was in no 
hurry "to get new roofing job". 

I CONTACTED John  this year and he was somewhat surprised thinking 
I might wait for a couple years before I decided to reroof.  

If you're looking for a roofing company that will treat you with 
great respect, work patiently with you,  and do a outstanding job 
at a competative price,  I strongly recommend Rumsey Construction.

ReferralComments:  I also had John check my roof in 2007.  He found two areas 
that were leaking and fixed them on the spot, charging me very little, in my opinion.
He said he thought that my roof could possibly last another year or two.  I really 
appreciated John's honesty and candor.
